alternator access picture with power steering pump pulled out of the way

Sorry about the new thread but I meant to post this the other day seems alternator replacment comes up pretty regularly... It's pretty simple to gain a ton of room if you remove the power steering pump and using a wire, rope, or strap... pull it out of the way... it's only 3 easy access bolts that you access through the holes in the pulley... the reservoir just slips out and can move forward with the pump...

Pulley removal is 1 nut on the power steering, which was my method during alternator change.

Are you replacing with an OEM or going with a different brand/model?

you can remove the pulley but you have a much better line of sight with the pump out of the way... whatever works for you... posted the pic to show how much room you have to work with the pump out of the way
