Alternative 1PZ radiator inlet hose

Hi,

The radiator inlet hose on my 1PZ has started cracking a bit and I'd like to replace it. The original part number is 16571-17030 but is no longer available. Does anyone know of a compatible replacement? Or could this kind of hose be purchased in bulk, cut to length and heat bent somehow? I've seen some people doing this with a heat gun on smaller diameter hoses but nothing this big.

Try a 4 cylinder hose. 2LT/1KZ. See if the bends and length match.

Don’t heat a hose. That’s a terrible idea.

When I had my PZJ70, I had a hard time finding OEM hoses and ended up getting some NOS ones out of Canada from Radd Cruisers. There was not any new OEM anywhere else at the time.

Not OEM but Terrain Tamer has the hoses you need. P/N: HK042 Looks like that is a kit for upper and lower both.

OR check with @cruiseroutfit Maybe he won't carry something such low volume for the 1PZ engine but doesn't hurt to start there first.

We stock the lower 1PZ hose (Part# RADLOW17030 - Upper Radiator Hose (Lower/Outlet) - PZJ7x) but unfortunately the upper is now NLA, that was our part# RADUP17030, none available to sell. As @OGBeno mentioned, I'd look at the other 7x hoses for the closest fit. I'm not in the shop for a bit so I can't personally assist.

The 1HZ hoses will be too short. Bends will be perfect.

I think the 4 cylinder hoses will work since they were put in the same vehicle WBes and have extended hoses to reach the radiator. And the water inlets are roughly the same designs…

Just my hunch. Haven’t correlated anything.

Thanks for all your cues! I don't have access to any 4 cylinder LC radiator hoses for comparison unfortunately but will base my search on those, I'll post back if I find something compatible.
