Alternate Temp Sensor

Has anyone installed a mechanical water temp sensor on their 2F in addition to the stock electrical guage?

Is their a T that can be installed in the original sensor location to house both a mechanical and electrical sending unit?

I'm getting ready to do this myself and wondering that same thing? Where is there a water pasage that I can hook my new gauge from?

There is a long thread in the 80's forum about aux temp sensors & guages. If I remember correctly, there was a coupling installed into one of the main hoses, and the aux sensor was then screwed into the coupling.
