Alpine Loop Conditions/Questions (1 Viewer)

Hey Derailed Cruisers,

Coming back to Durango in about a month's time and was hoping to share some of the views of the Alpine Loop with my family since I've only ever done it solo on a motorcycle. Does anyone know what it is looking like at this time? I saw in another thread Ophir is still closed to thru traffic so I'm guessing at minimum Engineer/Cinnamon conditions are similar. Assuming either pass is possible to reach in a month, if you were to choose one or the other to run from Silverton to the crest and back to Silverton, which would you run? Ideally I'd do the whole loop, but I just don't have the time this trip.

No worries - I figured it might go unanswered but was worth a shot. Trip was great - hit Ophir on the way in, and did the whole of the Alpine Loop. I started early so I had Engineer to myself and didn't have to battle too much traffic on Cinnamon. Hope your off-grid time was enjoyable as well!
