Looking for pricing direction

Is this price point in line with you guys here? I need to know cause I posted it up on CL and have only had 3 calls in 6 weeks - started at 8300 now down to 7300.

Any verbiage you would add or need to know that is not in the listing?

Thanks!

I can tell you that I've looked at your ad several times and each time I thought you were way overpriced. At that mileage, with no locking diffs even if you have a very shiny/clean vehicle I would not be spending this kind of money even if all the maintenance was up to date including the dreaded Head Gasket and the hated Heater Hose replaced... $7K is way too much... sorry. I've been looking around for a long time and there are quite a few good looking vehicles with a lot less miles for less money. You can hope to sell this for that price only if you're willing to wait for a very long time for just the right shopper. If you need to sell this vehicle, you'll need to price much, much more reasonably to get some interest.

I agree with mercfan. Although it looks like a clean cruiser, that is an insane amount of miles for that asking price.

What service records are available?

Have any of the following ever been serviced/replaced?
-Pesky heater hose
-Head gasket
-Front axle/birfs

Thanks for your input...

You bet - when you get realistic on the price I may be interested in this vehicle as it looks clean and not abused in any way - something I'm looking for.

Well I guess you can make me an offer - The price point does say, "OBO" so make me an offer... By the way - are you near Turon, KS?

Thanks

I also agree that it's quite overpriced. Things to keep in mind when listing a high mileage vehicle for sale are maintenance details and other proof of diligent care. As nicholas asked, have the head gasket, heater hose and axles been repaired? If not, your audience, which are likely to be fellas that know what it truly takes to get these wonderful vehicles to hit 3-400k miles, is more likely to shy away, especially at your asking price.

Other things you might address: Has it been wrecked? Any paintwork? Any rust? Ever been off roaded?

Good luck with the sale.

I'm in Denver, CO - but willing to drive out for the right vehicle. Please provide more information per the posts above so I can make a more informed decision. I'm assuming the vehicle is located in Turon, KS?

It has not been wrecked - all original paint - No rust - undercarriage looks great - Never an off-road vehicle - No head gasket, heater hose or axle shaft repairs as it never reqired any attention in those areas. I know the radiator was replaced and that is it except for the usual oil & filter, battery and brakes. I can honestly say the vehicle is in impeccable condition. Yes it is in Turon KS. Any other questions you may have feel free to hit me back or call the 405# on previous post.

The Land Cruiser is being shown tonight to a guy from Topeka, KS. He has called a few times and spoken to my father - We'll see what happens.

Good luck with your sale - post back in any case.

FWIW

I bought a locked 97' 40th in Dallas,TX with 200,000 miles for $5000. I'd love to buy yours for my wife, though.

I realize the seller states not locking hubs...but doesn't the second picture look like the locker switch is there?

Looks like the power mirror switch to me. Can't see the magic diff switch.

Locking hubs are very different than locking diffs.
