I've got the main portions of my Dissent bumper installed, but I'm having difficulty lining up the holes in the wings with the holes in the recovery point section. All of my bolts are loose so I am able to move things a little in a lot of directions, but I just can't seem to line things up. I tried the suggestions in the instructions, but no luck. Can you offer any guidance for how you got yours lined up?

This is by far the most frustrating part—anecdotes from my installation:

  • Start from inside out, which looks like you are doing
  • The recovery points move around a lot, I used a rubber mallet to bang mine around and was able to make the rectangle plates line up
  • The wings move in 3-4 directions: closer or further away from the front of the truck, side-to-side, and left and right. I had to leave mine super, super lose. What ultimately worked for me is supporting each wing with a floor jack and then "locking it in" using the silver hex bolts
  • Another method is to go ahead an put the swing arms on temporarily, you can use them as handy levers for fine-tuning the wings.
Arm-chair diagnosis of your photos:

The driver recovery point likely needs massaged and your wing needs to go toward front of truck and turned counter clockwise.

Passenger side wing needs turned clockwise and that will likely close gap enough.

Thank you!!
