Sittin' here in Baltimore, MD trying to get my crews to get some of this ol' junk runnin' ... and readin' through the Gover'ment specs on the job.

Evidently there's too many of them PCB deals to dump the mud into the water somewhere so we gotta pump it all up on dry land and then bury it. A Fella can drive to the location they done told us to do that by takin' an access road out of a State Park of some sort.

The Specs read:

"The access road is approximately 6 miles long, unpaved, rough and unimproved, and is generally in very poor condition."

Hehehe ... sounds like I'll get to try out the 4wd on the new comp'ny truck. :bounce2::steer::bounce2:

:flamingo:

Did you get a new one? Got any pics?

Still got the 'lightnin' truck'.

3 weeks in the shop in Mobile and 5 grand. Check engine light came on 'fore I even cleared the city limits.:lol:

Ain't shiftin' right. Ain't brakin' right. Put 'er back in the shop here in Baltimore soon as I got 'er here last Thursday. Supposed to get a repair quote in the mornin' for round 2.

Comp'ny, leasin' outfit, and insurance Folks are all debatin' what to do with 'er. Reckon depends on this latest quote.

Have to wait and see. :meh:

Yep, PCB's are forever. So... they're tellin' you to take it thru a State Park?
Them Yankees are a hoot. They will probably demand government help after their little kiddies play in the PCB tainted soil. (sigh).

The place we're pumpin' the stuff is Federal Gover'ment land 6 miles south of the State Park. Our discharge pipe will come right in from the river into the site ... so will also be 6 miles south of the park.

Just the only way to get to the site by land is down the aforementioned 6 mile road that heads out from the south end of the Park. :meh:

Done got us a special permit to get on the road.

Meanwhile ...

Chevy house just called and said they can have my new comp'ny truck back on the road for under 7 hun'erd bucks. Told 'em to come ahead on it and I'll put it on my credit card while all the various players of the game try to cypher out what they wanna do with 'er.:rolleyes:

This is great news cuzz it means I can drag my scooter on up there to Albany when I go.

Don't reckon too many Rednecks from NE Texas get a chance to ride in the Catskills or the Adirondacks.

Hope to beat the first snow. Sure as hell ain't ridin' the scooter in snow. Good news is that it's lookin' like my next gig's gonna be down in Florida.

is the road on the east side of the river or west?

Looks to be on sort of an island ... but with water on only three sides. Permit makes reference to Schodack Island State Park. :meh:
