Alarm going off

Hey guys,
Question here. When I use the key to unlock the passenger side door of my 99 the alarm goes off. Been doing this for some time. Don't use this door for entry. Wife uses the remote, only have the one.
Can anyone give me an idea where I start to fix the problem?
