Hi

Say you are 4wd'ing and have a collision with a tree that's hard enough to set off the airbags but the car is still drivable.

I'm told that the car computer will not let you restart the car once the airbags have fired.

Anyone know if that's true and is there a way to bypass the sensor for this.

I can't imagine setting off the airbags while off road, I'd say you'd have to be an idiot to do so but I'm sure there're guys on here who have done it. Also, I've never heard of the truck not being able to start after airbags being deployed.

Never mind the likelihood of you setting off the bags, that's not what this is about.
Just after info re disabling the bag sensors that will prevent a car starting if they have gone off.

It makes sense. If you are in a saloon car on a highway etc and hit something hard enough to trigger the bags then you probably can't drive anyway and if you can then the cops probably don't want you dsriving away either...
