Hi there all. I am looking for a scanned or PDF file of the wiring diagram that concerns the Airconditioning on a HDJ80/1 landcruiser.
The coolbox works OK nut there is no cold in the car??
I don't have a wiring diagram but all I usually do to diagnose AC problems is check if there is 12V at the compressor clutch. If there is no power I jump the two wires on the pressure switch to see if the clutch kicks in. If there is no power to the switch I then go looking for fuses.
Hope this is of help to you.
The system still has enough gas in it for the coolbox to make ice cubes in the little trays oem supplied. Pretty sure the problem is electrical somewhere.
If your coolbox is working the AC should be working. Assuming the fan is working I reckon it could be a airflow problem, not allowing the air to be cooled by the AC. A common problem is the water drain blocking up causing the evaporator box to fill up with water. Usually this problem is easy to see as excess water leaks out the foot vents, wetting the carpet. If your car is stored outside leaves travel down through the cowl vent and block everything up. This is easy to fix with a bit of compressed air squirted in the right spots.
Have a sign this is a problem I have, could you elaborate on the "right" spots to force air, or any details regarding cleaning the area
of the evaporator box? Would really appreciate.
I'm suddenly blocked. All was best could be (given R12 on a 92 w/o any known AC work), good hot weekend & Humid.
As "elmariachi" points out in other thread; One other thing....is it making water...is water dripping out from the passenger side when the truck is running with AC on max?
And then recall Monday afternoon 95° and 90%+ humid, I don't recall any tell-tell drainage.....
Short trip today, turned corner, sounded like a Tsunami in my passenger dash, then poof.... water running down inside.
Any tips to clear this up, or pic.'s to access removal and clean evap. box. I see some comments on removing the DASH to really make this happen?, yet need to go study this for a while tonight.
