just wanted to share what the early FJ60 hose looks like and what i did. @BTUMAN sent my 20 inch hose super fast and it took about 10 minutes to instal it. I bought the 20 inch hose but cut the elbow part off of the old intake and attached the new hose to that. Check out the pics. Looks great and im glad I did it.

Discontinued by Toyota. Now a near factory replacement is available and for sale. Heavy Duty, non crushable, rated to 400 degrees F. This is the flex piece of corrugated rubber hose

that goes between the first air intake scoop and the air cleaner assembly as shown in picture.

Replace that cheap dryer duct or thin flimsy stuff from Auto Zone with something that will outlast even the original. Even fits 79 and up oval scoops.

That’s just a length of automotive repair shop exhaust hose ( slips over tailpipe to direct exhaust outside ) . You could make three of those out of one 108 dollar length of this hose on Amozon.
