Hi, Can anyone recommend a hi preformence air filter for hdj79 2006? Are they even worth it? Is there any benefit?

The engine has a intercooler and uni chip fitted.

I’m assuming you are in Australia. There are a number of aftermarket venders that sell custom air boxes down there. Some use Duramax filters, others use 200 series air filters. Then there are the usual “ricer” options. Google is your friend. There are also a number of different 70 series Facebook groups most members being in Australia.

I doubt it. I would look around for some dyno figures before and after. You may find the only benefit is when you are way above its maximum operating rpm.
