I want to get both for jubs such as picket fence, working on porch and everything else around the house. Any recomendations on what to get? Compressor tank need to be a minimum size?

Thanks!

Wow...like asking who makes the best used car..lol

I like the HD Rigid Aluminum tank machine...I think it's oilless, so that means it'll be a bit louder than say a oil filled machine. The draw to oilless IMHO is no start up problems if it's cold and not on a 20 amp circut. My all time favorite is a Thomas (see below)

Thomas Compressors T-617HDN 1/2 HP 2 Gal. Oil-Less Hot Dog Tank Air Compressor

It's quiet..it's light...has loooooow power draw... and can run anything you will throw at it. One thing it isn't is cheap.
A classic case of you get what you pay for. I'd give up the Mrs. before I got rid of the Thomas...sorry, it's just the way it is.

When it comes to guns I like the Bostich and Senco...Bostich for framing and roofing and Senco for the finish work i.e. Crown, trim, cabinet building

Plus the nice thing about the Thomas...it's so light when she's bringing it upstairs for you to use...she can get a beer too dammit!!

This ought to be fun..

I think that's a good bargin. The brad nailer for smaller projects and the 1/4" crown stapler is a great tool for a wiiiiiiiiide variety of projects.

HD sells a real nice 50' heavy duty coil type hose that I really enjoy using. It doesn't really reach 50'...but it's so light it's immaterial. I always like to use swivel connectors at the gun also.

We Take!

That isn't the most useful collection of nailers. You gotta ask yourself what you want to do with it. For example, a 18ga stapler that will only shoot 1 inch staples isn't going to cut it for roofing and flooring applications which use 2 inch staples. You are better off just getting a cheap compressor and the nailers that you need.

I have the compressors and a nailer, but I found that for small trim work in particular, an 18V cordless nailer works just as well.

i got the bostich compressor/3 nailer combo that lowes sells and have gotten 10X my money out of it, i find uses for it all the time. will be adding a framing nailer to my inventory soon as i have a larger project coming up.
