I have been driving my 85 year old mom around lately and have been using the lower feature of the AHC more than ever.
Got me thinking, is it better for the system to be used regularly or not.
I guess the pump is always working slightly as the road conditions change but the volume of fluid that moves through the system (or at least the pump and reservoir) is way more when the height is changed.
Is this better for the system to keep the juces flowing or is it wearing it out?

I'm not sure about that. I cycle mine often, use L much more often. I think it's probably best to use the entire range every now and then. I can hear so e unusual noises (pump probably) every now and then, going into high mode.

I will miss the L mode if I ever get rid of the system. Putting it in low and letting the air out if the front tires makes getting under the hood a breeze, especially if you need to work near the firewall.

I vote "use it". I cycle up and down, turn it off/on every now and again and have pulled the AHC fuse once or twice on the premise that it may help the control module processor reset. The design encourages fluid to stagnate in the actuators so I've no doubt periodic cycling to get fluid moving is a good thing.
