Didn't see anything specific to this so thought I'd post. I'm sure it will help others looking at the same tire.

I will have to watch out for the issue TheFuzz had with the Duratracs. Hopefully these do not run particularly wide and run into the same issue. Fingers are crossed.

So far I've heard of one rig running these which is SinCity1000.

Price:
The most surprising thing is I called around town / searched the internet for hours and couldn't find a price from a trusted source lower than $350 a piece.
Les Schwab wanted $1450 for 4.
An online shop that has terrible reviews online had em for $250, but who knows, maybe I'd get a 2008 tire or something.

Then, while I was reading another random tire thread about a completely unrelated tire, I decided to look it up because I had never heard of it.. For whatever reason, Amazon popped up, and Toyo is selling them directly @ 290. Free 2 day shipping via amazon Prime.

Now I feel super comfortable with my purchase.

Tires are on the way!

AHC Lift:
Just did rear AHC lift and doing fronts tomorrow. Rear center hub now sits 22.5 from fender.

It's crazy how much the AHC can lift... This is probably in high.

Getting diff drop and 30mm rear spring spacers to compensate for sensor lift. Those should arrive within 2 weeks.

Gotta grab an LSPV gauge because my $35 hacked techstream isn't working for me anymore and it's not worth the hassle.
Actually, I may try one more time. I got it working once, and I think it came with a virus and subsequently got my gmail hacked.

The only other question is what to do with my wheels.. they are plastidipped because I hate chrome, but every time you touch em the plastidip falls off... I may rattlecan em.

Is a 305/70/16 a 34" tire? So less problems than going with a full 35"er?

most 305s are actaully just a hair shorter than a 285 75 16, but are an inch or so wider. The 315 75 16, "35s" are most often about 34.5 inches

Gotcha. Thanks. Yeah there are so many tire threads on here with so many different tires I'm still lost on what works on 100's without major modification when it comes to height. I wanna go nearly 35" but without it catching wheel arches or bumpers.

AHC Lift success! Was the easiest thing ever. Ride sucks now, but I just bought a LSPV gauge and hope it works to throw some used LC springs in the back (starting with spacers) and cranking tbars up front.

Moment of truth... still have TheFuzz's MTRs fresh on my mind.

If you can lose those running boards at any cost - do it. My 5 yr old girl can still crawl in (with minor difficulty) on mine with 33's. Totally worth it! :D

Haha they are on the way! :flipoff2: Metaltech has some sliders with my name on it.

What 33s do you have? Have any issues?

Yip, I've got 275/70/18. Nice size, but I'm thinking of going down to 285/65/18 next time around. I just don't do much offroading at all, and if I do take it offroad it's usually only gravel or minor forest service roads. I'd be good with any regular all terrain tire. The 275/70's don't give me any trouble whatsoever and they handle better than 285/75/16's in my last cruiser because the sidewall is better in cornering. I noticed a big difference.

305/70/16 is just UNDER a 33" tire... 32.8 usually but it can vary sightly between manufacturers. Or did you mean 305/70/18? That would be just under a 35" and you would need a lift to clear those, and probably need wheel spacers too...

Got em installed!

Yeah, ride quality has skyrocketed downwards due to lift + tires.

These things must be 2x heavier than my Michelin LTXs.
Ride quality, acceleration, and handling are all down... but I love em!

They ride very quiet.. can barely hear them. I can feel them at 0-5mph.

The spare does not fit. This image makes it look way bigger than it is. Good thing I ordered a rear bumper..

Clears the UCAs but I wonder if there could be contact upon hard strikes or something. Keeping an eye on it.

looks good but dang those running boards? :hhmm:

I am considering 305/70R16 vs 285/75R16 on my 99LX and my biggest concern is the UCA. I see from your picture above they will clear it which is good. However, have you aired down your tires yet to offroad? If so did they still clear it? Have you have any rubbing anywhere else?
