Aging airbags

I came across an interesting article on Autoblog this morning:

My hundy is 16 going on 17 and I'm about to let one of my daughters drive it for high school.

Is this something I should address or be concerned about?

I'd appreciate everyone's thoughts.

The only issue is if your daughter is extremely petite. I know that there were problems with shorter drivers and airbags. It would be your judgment on whether the risks out weight the benefits.
