He is needing a daily driver with good mpg (my Geo/Toyota Corolla) and to make the deal happen he is actually getting a 2 for 1 (my Dodge truck too)

The way I figure it, I am getting approx 2500 for the Geo, 3500 for the Dodge, or 3k each, whatever way you want to slice it.

So I feel good about that (wife is happy that we will be down to 3 vehicles!), might could have held out longer for CASH sales and maybe bought something cheaper / and pocketed the rest, but what fun is that?

Wife and I are not sure about the whole rack deal / look... and I know I want to put a winch in that bumper and steps / rockrails, so I might be swapping selling some down the road.

I know the 3FE won't be as strong as my old FZJ80, especially with 35s, but no illusions this time of pulling a camper so...

I DO think I will be wanting the hitch though for the 80, for one of those external rack deals. (I am looking at the picture from OBX trip with tan FJ40 that has one on there with cooler, fishing pole holders, etc!) That and some LIGHT towing of the yard trailer, under 2k.

Thoughts, suggestions, warnings and general free for all welcomed!!

When we got the wife her Prado (heh) I got to start driving my Scion xB again for daily commute! :)

So the FJ80 will be doing lots of driveway duty, snow days, I drive about 3k a year on my "fun" vehicles or something. Also will help considering it starts with 212k on the clock but 3k per year would be 30 years before I hit 300k!

While I thought that guys price was about 1-1.5k too high if you have two vehicles you don't want and he wants to trade why the hell not then. :)

sam there is a junk yard in winston at 104 old lexington road with a 96 cruiser totaled.

However i was just there pulling parts and noticed it had a nice class III hitch.... reese or draw-tite

Very interesting, it all goes as expected I might look for it! Looks like the 4 bolt units you lose as much ground clearance / departure angle anyway!? Full on hitch would certainly be stronger.

And I met the future Ms. Stephen (fj40z) this afternoon!! All you have to have is a notary in your office and there is a chance he might just wander in!! Got to check out his 80, and talking cruisers and fishing. Great way to spend a bit of time on a Monday afternoon!!

Jason what is left of this cruiser? What was the name of the yard and you said it is a pull a part type deal.

Sam, it's not too bad I mean it's not going to win any races and as long as you are find doing 60-65 its all right, Long hills, like the one going up 181 (or is it 180) to lynnville falls is a royal pain though.

the name of it is on the sign at 104 old lexington road. :D

Ill ask steve if i can find him. I think it was american auto parts or something like that.
Lots left of the cruiser. Well no passenger knuckle/birf/axle now or Pass sliding windows; BUT it did have a pink velour fluffy bunny froo froo stroller in the back still. 3rd row leathers since i know you were looking at the set in wilmington. 5 wheels 4 ctr caps No lockers, no engine or tranny or driveshafts on vehicle but may be on a rack there some where. You can pull it yourself or they will, there rates were great to pull it for us (esp. when you forget to bring a jack). It was weather tight until last week.

Tell ya what ill go out on a limb and google it and see what happens.

My truck doesnt like that hill on 181 either but id prolly top it first :D

Cool thanks, were the door panels still in the doors??
Already got the 3rd row just need to pick it up off of Josh sometime.

I'd hope it would.

tan/oak interior and yes all door panels were there, I think the switches were too but didnt look too closely. The whole dash and instrument cluster is gone.

I'm not sure what happened to it. Last I heard it was at the house or at a yard, but not junk yard.
