Aftermarket roof racks mountable?

I did not opt for the port/dealer installed roof rack on my order.
I have a very nice Yakima Load Warrior on top of my '91 4Runner.

Does anyone who has seen the new FJ or owns one know if the Yakima mounts can be mounted on top to hold the crossbars?

I have not seen any info yet from Yakima for mounts to go up there yet.

I do not know if the Yakama stuff will mount or not, there is no gutters on The FJ. But what is welded into the roof is 3 sets of two (6 total) on each side are 8 or 10 mm nuts for mounting the roof rach. It is a very stout system of mounting, but not totally unique, very similar to the way the 100 series roof rack is mounted to the top. hope this helps. later robbie

I'm sure Yakima will have mounts available for the FJ Cruiser very soon ... you might even be able to be their ginny pig if you contact them. They have great customer service -

I have a lot tied up in the rack I have now.
Slee Hi-Lift mounts, the gas can mount, Yakima axe mount, and a home brewed shovel mount.

It would be nice to utilize it.
