Long story short - Imported a 2008 LC200. No stock usb or AUX jack. Found an aftermarket AUX jack in the glovebox wired to the stock head unit, trying to figure out how to use it.

When I plug my phone in, it shows as playing audio from headphones, but I can't figure out the button combination to get the sound coming out of the car. There's also a little switch underneath the steering wheel.

Anyone have any ideas here? If I can get this to work I won't need to replace the head unit.. Local A/V store mentioned that it might be wired into the TV tuner (makes sense as there's a video jack as well), but none of the TV channels play music when plugged in. I've tried plugging something in and cycling through all of the options (FM/AM/HDD/TV/MD etc.) but nothing seems to work.

Figured it out - In case this applies to anyone else in the future.

The TV button on the JDM cars actually cycles through three different TV functions - TV, DVD and Video (video input i think). My AUX was wired to Video, so just need to press the TV button three times and hit the switch.

This makes me think that you can probably wire AUX/bluetooth into the stock head units for much cheaper than buying a grom/ECoffroad unit.
