I did (Kenwood), and a rear view camera too (instead of the back door cylinder key) on my ’99 LC (HDJ 4,2 diesel). Fit and work perfectly. I can post a picture if you want.

Please post pics of the kenwood in the dash and the back up camera. Thank you.

Hi Zox, welcome to the Forum! Hope you'll enjoy it.
You may want to tell us a bit about you and your rig?

I find this site some times ago, and first try to read all interesting topics. This is a very good knowledge data base.. I’m from Croatia, Zagreb, I’m 39 years old, and I have my Cruiser since 2002. Before, I had Mercedes G 350, and Cruiser is much more car then Merc. IMHO Merc is very slow truck build for offroad, and Cruiser is great SUV build just for my needs (Comfortable, lots of space for my two daughter, two dogs and a wife and relatively fast- for a diesel). My Cruiser is 1999, 160000 miles, 4.2 diesel, 204 HP, 4 speed automatic, height control, 7 seats, leather and so on. I install Kenwood and rear view camera because I had a problem with rear visibility, also I install HID for better sight during night, and because of appearance too. Since now I don’t have any problems with my cruiser, and that’s it for a first time. I will post some picture during weekend. By.

All right! always nice to see folks from far away countries. Seems like you have been busy with it too. Don't forget to check the International Forum here where you'd find more info on Diesels etc... (just remember that the Aussies, great folks as they are, are all wild and drive 100 mph for hours on washboard in the middle of nowhere... :D )

Yeah,

But we are all a good lookin bunch of blokes though.....

That comment got me thinking about the other weekend, I was driving to the Hunter valley and was travelling at about 140kph and went over a crest and there were 3 ducks in the middle of the road and they immediately took flght.... this was about 4:00am...

Hit me smack bang in the middle of the windscreen and all we saw was all brown stuff splatter all over the front of my truck...not impressed

10 minutes later I ran over a roo! Lucky fr me there as no damage...

..should have stayed home that day!

Kenwood & camera

As I promise, some pictures of my cruiser, kenwood and camera.. P.S. I'm not sure about procedure of attachment (too complicated for me, and too much limitation of size of the picture)

3 Ducks and a 'Roo! Man, I've spent all day hunting and not come home with that much game before. Guess I'm not using the right technique. :D

Did you find out a way to disable the function that prevents DVD's from being played while in motion?

Good info! Did you do the install yourself?

I've been looking at the Pioneer AVIC N1, because I really like all the features. However, looks like the Eclipse has a much cleaner installation (the screen is already up and there's no need to have it come out and flip up) Anyone have an opinion/personal experience on how this unit compares with the Pioneer AVIC N1?

eclipse has dvd and more features like rca jacks to hook up gameing or vtr also has back up cam option! not sure all the pioneer options it has but don't think it has all the option eclipse does i would really take a close look at both and see what options work for you! as for me i couldn't be happier with my eclipse!!!!
