What are you all running?

Not interested in OEM ones.

If you do have aftermarket ones, kindly snap a picture and post it up. And maybe the link to where you got them. Also, they should be able to bolt right up or be modified to avoid new holes if at all possible.

Anyway, let’s see what you got.

Thanks!

That doesn't leave many options.

I'll be going with these soon enough, screws into the underside of the wheel arch. 125mm is too wide for my taste, another company will have 80mm flares coming later this year in the same style though.

Real common over here, legal requirement for tires to be contained within the extents of the vehicle so most non flare 80s have em. Those rubber flares save lives in Australia...

They work well enough, I had em on my last 80. Too wide though and the fitment looks balls.

I watch this channel here and there and this Russian guy changed out his flares recently.

Not sure where he got them but you can see how it was done. He had the oem mudflaps installed before and hit something offroad with his rear mudflap resulting in the flare being torn off.

Let’s keep this thread going!

I searched for a specific aftermarket NON OEM style flares but it came up empty or just too old to rehash.

What do I need to do to get you lurkers posting? Don’t be bashful! lol!

There was a member here that used to import the Kut Snake flares. Not sure if they're still around...

I had a set of Kut Snakes that I never used and sold to a friend. He installed em himself and they look really good!

It's funny. I'm pretty sure my home state has the same rules, but you wouldn't know it to drive down the road. They used to enforce it when I was a teenager (actually saw a cop out there with a straightedge one time), but these days half the pickups I see on the road are running several inches of tire outside their flares.

I once convinced the local cops that my lift (4" heavy coils with NO accessories on the car) was in fact only 2 inches, but without the flares it just looks a lot bigger. Cops over here don't care too much, but small stuff like tire poke is just ammo for them if they've had a bad day.

I’m interested in whatever others have had success using. Not sure where to find things NOT made in china anymore.
The aftermarket flares don't fit well and they require additional drilling on the sheet metal for attachment point. They don't necessarily allow for wilder tires fitment, so basically no benefit for having them other than providing a diff. look for those who opt for flares. Just my ,02. If you offroad and destroy the flares, chances are, with aftermarket flares, you would destroy your sheet metal since the OEM flares are designed to take some abuse without effing up your sheet metal

Understood. Most of the flares I see have limited spots where the fasteners can be tapped into. If I could see an example where the top portion of the flare was flat I could possibly use the OEM bolt holes, if that makes any sense.

Yes it does. Good luck with your search. I do not like the de-flared look on the 80s, but they do provide a very clean functioning rig if done right. For me, OEM flares are designed and made to last.
