After 10years of not having a FJ40 I finally got another one (1 Viewer)

Glad to be back, man I’ve missed driving a FJ40. its a 77 with a 1991 L98 bet engine and auto trans, front and rear lockers and it looks like the top and rear doors are from an earlier year.

the dang thing is stalling out once in a while when slowing for a stop. Anyone know a good mechanic in Gilbert to help me fix this?

Desert Toy Shop in Mesa (US60 and Mesa Dr) did the L83 and 6L80 swap on my FJ62.
They are way cool and Matt can diagnose / fix/ fine tune anything.

Does that thing need a speed sensor to operate properly? That would be my first guess at the stalling when coming to a stop issue.
