Check out this awesome fuel storage idea from AEV, designed for their JK Wranger rear tire carrier. Shouldn't be too hard for a fabricator to incorporate this into a Tire Carrier for the GX. Hopefully Pelfreybilt or Demello will consider it. If not I plan on designing it with a custom bumper fabricator.

American Expedition Vehicles - Brute Kit, V8 HEMI, Aftermarket Jeep Conversions, Products, Wheels, Accessories and Highline Kits for Jeeps (TJ, JK, WK, XK).

Holds 10 gallons and basically takes up no space.

That's genius.

Titan fuel tanks has a similar unit. Those in CA use caution because this is under 11 gallons it is considered a gas can and since it's not CA approved the BLM can write you a ticket.

Fuel Caddy FAQ

I live in California, can I buy the AEV Fuel Caddy? Does it meet CARB regulations?

Yes, the AEV Fuel Caddy complies with all current CARB, EPA and DOT regulations.

Do you have a link to the Titan one? I only saw the one they make for full size trucks that goes in the spare tire area, but it may be too big for a 120.

Awesome. That's looks even easier to work with. Thanks!

I like my AEV fuel caddy on my Jeep, it has made a difference a few times
