Hi,

I am planning to put an OME 2" lift on my '03 LX470. Currently, I am running 285/65/18. Will the tires look small?
Anyone has the pics of this lift with 285 tires?
Thank you!

I got a 2"inch lift on my 2000 cruiser and the tires maybe look a tiny bit small. When I purchase new tires, I'm definetly going 1 size bigger (295/70/16)bfg-at.

^^^ I don't know much about the size.
Is 33" equal to 285? or 285 is smaller than 33".

I just installed 285 R 16's on my cruiser. Great improvement in offroad capability and they look much better then the stock tires with the OME lift. They fill the wheel wells very nicely.

I will try to post before and after pictures as soon as I can remember how to up load pictures to the forum:o

I went with the Revos. Great tire.

Yes, mathematically,

285/65-18
285/75-16

are approximately equivalent to a 33" diameter. Though two different brands in the same size can be up to an 1" different in diameter. Best to check the manufactures specs on the tires, not what it says on the sidewall. But here's a handy calculator to get a general idea.

As far as OME lift on your LX470, have you considered just getting Slee's diff drop bracket and adjusting the AHC sensors for lift? You can get almost 1.5-2" of lift by just adjusting the sensors. Don't get overzealous and crank it past that though.
