Hi crew

I have an Australian-market 1978 FJ40 which is factory fitted with front drum brakes. To convert to front disc, I have purchased knuckles/calipers/backing plates from a HJ75.

My question is - are my original FJ40 hubs and spindles compatible, or will I need one/both from a 75 to make the kit work?

Are there any other component differences i'll need to be mindful of?

Many thanks

Lock out hubs are same, spindles are same. Hub the wheel bearings go in are not same

pretty much as texican above

you'll need the 70 series:
Swivel housings
Callipers
Backing plates
Hubs
Rotors
Wheel studs if the hubs don't come with them
Brake hoses and hard lines

I'm running 70 series disc brakes on the front of my FJ40
