My smog guy here in CA ran my 80, failed ever so slightly, tank almost empty, cheap stuff. Topped it off with premium, and added one treatment of sta-bil to the tank, drive for a few miles, passed with much room to spare. All in all, my cats were spent. Put new cats on and he retested for free, passed with flying colors on cheap gas. Lesson learned that I live by. Worked on an 84p/u as well since then.
