I just picked up a 1996 LC. I think I got a great deal. $2500. I bought it off a good friends father. It's only got 86k miles. It has from what I see sone of the the usually stuff wrong with it. Things I've done; fix passengers power seat (real easy thx to IH8MUD), fan clutch, shakey mirror, added double cup holder (a must), replaced all the dash board light bulbs (not so hard), the bulbs on the heater display were also burnt out, that was a little tricky but a success.
Things I want to do; paint hood (so ugly and faded- green), brakes, reapulster front leather seats- got a price of $500 from a guy I've used before, I might just do it. Real nice covers are pretty expensive anyway.
What I really want to do is lift my ride a little bit and either powder coat the stock 16' rims or rattle can them black. I like both looks. I get very confused as to what lift is best for me. I'm not a big Off Roader but I like the look of semi-big tires.
My ride is now a little wishy washy. Any recommendations? 2.5 lift? If you think so. Which one? 2.5' suspension and a 1' body? Can I buy tires first w/out rub? What size?
This is my first post. Go easy on me. Thx

You can fit 35's without a lift. They'll rub when rock crawling. 2.5" is plenty of lift if you're not a big off-roader.
You might try posting in 80 series tech. It gets lots more views than general tech.

Thx for the reply. i think I'll go with 35s this year and lift it next year.
Yeh I def should have posted in 80 series tech. Actually thought I was. Oops. Thx
