Adopt a Trail 2N06X Run

We are scheduled to meet with Greg Hoffman at the Big Bear Discovery Center on Saturday August 9, 2008 at 9:00 am to check out our new adopt trail. This is a black diamond (difficult) trail that has been closed for some time. This is a great opportunity and a lot better trail than our last assignment! Our goal and objective is to safely run the trail as a group and develop a maintenance plan. It would be incredibly awesome to get as many members and cruiser owners as possible to do our part to help out in the San Bernardino National Forest and assist in re-opening this trail in the future. This is an excellent chance to learn more about the adopt a trail program and learn about the fringe benefits of volunteering your time and energy. This is an open run for active members and non-members from Southern California.

Run has been pushed back one day to 8/10 because of a scheduling conflict with the forest service. Discovery Center @9:00. Hope you can make it.

The run has been postponed until September... Unfortunately, we could not get enough people to commit to the run this weekend. Mark wants show the USFS that the club is really interested in taking over maintainance of the trail and Mark thought that it would look better to the USFS if more than two club members showed up. Maybe more people will be able to attend in September after summer vacations are over. Mark or I will post up again when we settle on a new date. Thanks!
