The Alcans on my 62 do not seems to be able to adequately support the gear/bumpers/Fuel tank i have in the rear. I have emailed with a guy at Alcan who has been very helpful but he suggested I source an additional leaf for each spring locally. I have not done that before. Who would i use, a metal fab shop?

any pointers welcome!!

How much lift you got on it right now ? Does he think something like AAL's would work for it. Only thing about that is, that it will stiffen it up some.

Might want to try some helper springs or something to that effect.

its a 3.5" lift right now. According to the guy at Alcan they did not rate them for the amount of weight back there, not sure, but maybe it was because they didnt know what they were planning on. Its got a slee bumper/tire carrier, a 38 gallon long range tank, tuffy drawer system and an engel fridge so when i load my actual gear for a trip and maybe a passenger, its too much.

I am going to call Kurt from cruiser outfitters today to see if he thinks an OME leaf would work. it def needs stiffness.

what is AAL? i see that on the boards and am not sure i know what that is

HA! awesome thanks. now i feel like an idiot. Some of the abbreviations leave me asking WTF
