I just installed an aftermarket pioneer stereo and I can't seem to locate the ACC power wire. It already had an aftermarket stereo installed previously and it would only turn on when you are in the ON position never on ACC (which I thought was weird). The wire harness was already cut up so I just went ahead and transferred the wires over to the new harness for my Pioneer deck. I had read that the gray wire was for ACC and I tested that with a multimeter and it indeed went to 12v when the acc was on. I hooked the gray wire (From the White end harness) up to my red wire from the stereo harness and all was good as least that was what I thought. I drove at night a few days later and once I turned the lights on the radio turned off. It had not done this before i switched to the gray wire for the ACC. I then pulled the stereo out and sure enough on the gray wire in the stereo harness when the lights are turned on it goes from 12v to 0v while in ACC. I could not locate a wire in the harness that had 12v when only the ACC was on other than the gray wire I had previously connected to. Does anyone know what could be going on here with the gray wire or should there be another wire that I should be connecting to?
