Don't know if I spelled that right... I had my 60's ac recharged a while ago and noticed that it percolates when i turn the motor off. The cold hose gergles and you can feel it rumbling. At first I thought it was the radiator but I opened the hood and felt the hose and I could feel the vibration. I looked into that little window and saw that the freon was bubbling for a bit. After a minute or so it stops. The ac blows very cold and the shop found no leaks so I feel like I shouldn't worry about it but that goes against my nature.... Any Ideas? Thanks.

Not sure what the problem is, but I just had my AC fixed and now I have cold air for the first time ever. I feel so pampered. :D

Don't think I can help, but was curious if you had R12 freon or have you had it converted to R134?

"Percolating" is fairly normal in some systems. The refrigerant is equalizing pressure between
the high and low sides.
With the engine running at a high idle and the AC on max/high, check the sightglass.
If there are no, or very few tiny, bubbles, it's fully charged and working properly.

Checked the glass and all is well. Thanks for the advice nice to have air in Sept in MN. The air is cool but the sun is hot. ( No I didn't calll the shop yet and I'm running the original system with no conversion. Sorry I wasn't clearer on this subject.)
