I just purchased a 2000 Land Cruiser. The Land Cruiser has a problem with the AC. When driving the AC cuts in and out sort of... While the AC is on it blows really cold no matter the setting. It will blow super cold for awhile and then just blow air for awhile. It is not like the AC is not working, but it does not seem to work right. It almost seems like a sensor might be not working right. Thoughts? It is like the AC is trying to matain a certain temp, but then it does not...

Here is the thing I just went for a half hour drive. The car can freeze you out at 64 degrees for a full 45min+. It was about 86 outside this afternoon. You can set the air at say 72-75 where I think it should just maintain a nice cool temp and the air will blow cold but not maintain a nice 72 degrees. It will fluctuate real cold and then like luke warm. I looked for a sensor on the dash that might be blocked, but don't see one.

The car does stay overall cooler than my last car a Mini Cooper, but the air does not maintain a steady temperature like my wife's Volvo does.
