I'm getting a little condensate dripping onto my passenger side carpet. I'm going to open up the evaporator box, clean out the drain line and then reseal it.

What I'm wondering is what sealant I should use. I've heard that Toyota Black FIPG is good but it would be idea to use something softer so that I can get back into the box if needed. What do you think?

As always, thank you!

I used black, non-hardening permatex when I put the new front on this summer to accommodate the filters on my '04. Wear gloves, and lots of paper towels as it smears when you force the cover back into place. Go slow, keep your hands clean to avoid smearing onto the glove box bits.

So far, so good, but it's only been four months.
