Is there any connection between the transmission shift lock and the ABS light??

Started having an odd recurring problem. First start-up of the day the ABS light stays lit and the trans shift lock sticks a bit. Foot on brake to shift out of park - it takes a bit of jiggling to get the thumb button in to shift to reverse.

Now if that wasn't puzzling enough - as soon as I shut it down, and restart it everything returns to normal; even if this is still in the driveway mere moments after the first start-up.

Any idea what could be happening???

And yes - I did try searching. :flipoff2:

I was just having this problem yesterday. My cruise control didn't work, ABS light was on, and I couldnt shift out of park without the manual override. The culprit was a bad cruise control fuse. I replaced it and all those problems were fixed. Hope this helps.

Hmm...my ABS light is on...my cruise control won't work but I can shift out of park. Where is the c/c fuse? On the panel inside the cab?

Thanks!

Yes, the CC fuse is in the cab. I believe it is the furthest one down on the middle row.
