Hey all. First off I know "call AA". Did that. Left another message for them today asking for clarification one more time.

Here is the issue, I bought a late model 1 piece TC that had the AA 4L60 adapter already attached with the trans too. I never took this apart. Now 5 years later I have ATF in my TC. I called AA and to ask what I needed to replace (I figure it was the sealed bearing for the spud shaft) the tech said to replace the input seal in the TC. Fine, I bought all the gaskets and seals I would need including a new front output seal (front is leaking) as well as a new nut for the spud shaft.

I plan to remove the TC to fix it in a few weeks when I have a weekend that I am not working. Going over the installation PDF and reading AA's tech articles they state the sealed bearing is used to stop fluid transfer. Huh. I looked at every picture I can find and all show the spud shaft splines going all the way up to the sealed bearing. Meaning no sealing surface on the shaft for the Toyota TC input seal.

Can anyone with experience using the adapter chime in? Maybe Georg or Poser?

Thanks,

Steve
