a750f conversion

anybody done this conversion with success i have a 98 lc100 with 2uz non vvti and a442f trans middle east spec i was planning to convert tha transmission to 5 speed

I have a 97 FZJ80 that is getting a 2UZ motor out of Slee's shop, and I asked him about installing a 750 transmission as part of the install. He was hesitant to recommend that with the 80 due to extensive mods to the shifter and console required by the difference in trans length. Seems like it could be much easier going into your rig.
