This is My second post on this issue. However, I've found that when I first start the truck, run it, then restart it, the AC won't work. If, however, I run it, push the AC switch off, then shut off the truck, when I restart it, the AC comes on every time. I've tried the same process several times in all temps and humidity, at night, in day, same results. The only time the AC won't continue to cycle is after I've forgotten to hit the switch first. Anyone ever experienced this? The switch light, clutch, stepper motor all seem to be working fine. The sight glass shows "like white sand" when the AC's blowing ice cold. Sand, then clear, etc. when the AC is shut off. Any input? Please let Me know. Thanks

I would think the sand is ice crystals. This would seem to indicate you need a new reciever-dryer for a start.Zeolite if R134A OR silica if R12. MIke
