Bob on green trails? Oh the humiliation! His manhood would shrink and he'd have to admit that he was no better than us stockers.

An engine conversion on the 45 is a ways off due to too many other projects and honey dos. I haven't bought any parts yet but I continue to look for the pieces I'll need for the conversion. I bought a Tundra to tow with until I can do something with the 45. I'll tow the 45 to the Pig Run if it's ready.

Somebody has to be there to keep you out of trouble Dave.

So are you coming to CMCC?

Dave beat me to the punchline. I was preparing to say, "How can you keep someone out of trouble if he's never there"?

My usual answer - "no". On the plus side, I'm about to pull the trigger on the tires and maybe the Aussie locker. :bounce:

Then wiil you go?

Fall Crawl :hmm:

Unfortunately, not much to update. I've been painting the small pieces and reassembling the details but the bed and upper cab are still waiting for paint.

At least give us some eye candy pics! I need motivation...

Incredible. Not only didn't the painter (term loosely used) not paint the parts, but LOST them?

That is a very common problem. We struggled for years with other paint shops taking months (sometimes over a year) to complete paint work, losing parts, painting pieces slightly different colors - all of which we had to fix at our expense (even though the customer dealt directly with the painter - we did it so that the rest of the work we had done would be well represented in the finished project!)

One thing I never wanted to have in house was our own paint shop, but earlier this year we moved into a new building with a heated, downdraft paint booth. Then one day I got a call from Ryan Bascom saying he was coming back to VA... Now all of our paint work gets done properly, in days or weeks instead of months, without losing parts! I am very happy to have Ryan here at Iron Pig...

Ryan is going to kill me for encouraging this, but lets get the 45 down here to the pig and get it done... the paint booth awaits...

Lance - I'm getting desperate to get this thing finished so your offer is really appreciated. I've gone about as far as I can without getting the bed and uppercab painted so your timing is great. I'll coordinate with Ryan and bring the 45 down to IPOR in the next week or so. Again, Lylia and I really appreciate your offer.

Update

I've been working on reassembling what I can based on what parts have been painted. The interior is close to complete and the doors are ready to hang. Other than that, the remaining parts are waiting for a trip to IPOR for paint.

That's a magnetic LED light that Lylia thought I needed. It had to go someplace so I just stuck it to the cluster.
