That's rad! But not you got 2 decommissioned 888s?

Longer stems, the 70mm where to short for me anyway, plus mounting something rigid to a fork is not the best idea, I much rather have a stem that twist..

Lowering the effective grip height.

In any case i have about 70 stems, most of them without a job and I just order 10 more of this red ones from Amazon ($5.35 each plus free shipping, I'm sure from China) to mount my roof basket and my LED lights..

Tip...

The Thule MOAB basket main tubes are 31.8mm (Handlebar size) and the Yakima tubes are 28.6mm, very firm mount, but also plenty fast to take the basket out..

Nice bikes. I still have my Shiver under my bed. The ultimate would be making a rear tire swing out out of an old frame!! I'll have to look in my parts bins to see if I can repurpose some stuff. And that stem would have been like $100 10 years ago, ha.

For some reason Upside down forks are making a come back is kind of a "Nuovo Vintage" trend..

But the are so freaking heavy and with restricted steering too (do to the diameter of the tubes)

Working on it.

Actually I want to lift my tire all the way to the roof basket or keep it high as a "Pre-runner" mount, all without muscle effort just with the advantage of the lever arm/cams, working on it..

Also a "Four arm" linkage for a step for my doggies and the kiddos at the rear gate and with a small "Storage" so I we can still use the 3th row seats.

I'll have to look in my parts bins to see if I can repurpose some stuff.
I love "Made with what you can find in less than 30 seconds"

Foredom crane. Cannondale POS swingarm/ends of carbon fiber windsurf mast (so many broken ones at one point of the technology)/Massive "SCooter wheel" actually from a baby carrier/who knows what airplane part (purchase a bunch by the pound)/blue Specialized FRS linkages and a diagonal strap..

The Red one...?? oh I will not use one of those even on my 4 year old baby bikes, scary..

Then again just a few companies made the stems for everybody (same as with everything else)

I actually have a "Fetish" with stems, Light as possible (well before the "Burly" as possible stage), tons of sizes, diameters, etc, cheap to make even if the technology is very advance..

I have so very many, but I think my favorite is this one.

Oh 25.4, happens to be ONE inch (on the "Quill" and on the handlebar side too, exact same size as the "Metro" rack I love so much, very useful to hang things, make handles, push bars, whatever..
