I snapped this from looking down behind my engine with the hood propped open. I could not see the full sticker, and was wondering if my transmission was ever replaced, seeing as I have a 2000 LC100, which is the year known for trans problems. I have 285k miles on mine, and the transmission shifts great and is quiet with or without overdrive on. I've never had any issues with it since I bought it used.

I think I'm going to answer my own question. After checking multiple eBay listing pictures of used LC100 transmissions it appears the first numbers of that serial number listed on the decal indicates the year of the used transmission, so in my case 99JE403792 is telling me that is a trans from a 1999 Land Cruiser. Yay I'm happy.

99 doesn't mean it is a used transmission. I would guess it is the original trans made in 1999.

I found a really great pretty old thread on this and it’s is a day late and a dollar short but it’s a good read. It cleared my concerns. and as for what you said, ok you are right. I considered the same on a hunch.
