My DD ac system bit the dust, got one quote:
a/c compressor: 580 w/labor
a/c dryer: 90 w/labor
a/c orifice tube? 60 w/labor
a/c flush: 160 w/labor
Evac and recharge $80 plus, plus so right around $1k

Any recommendations for experience and price?
Thanks

Assuming the quote you got is not from Coolstream in Tucson, I would call over there and talk to Rex. I don't know if they do service, but if they don't I'm sure Rex can refer you to someone that knows what he is doing.

CoolStream

Rex's Mud name is 1972FJ55. Hopefully he will see your thread and chime in.

Very knowledgeable and a great guy.

Good luck.

Greg

What's your DD? I might be able to beat that.
Of course, you'd have to drive to PHX w/out A/C.

Also if the compressor came apart internally and they're not going to replace the condenser, you'll be back in before the end of the summer for it not cooling, or another grenaded compressor.
