Just a lurker as I usually find the answers by searching but haven't found the right info. Also after 255k miles I want to keep my streak alive of it never going to a shop-these are awesome machines.
My high pressure discharge line that attaches to the compressor is leaking oil at the compression fitting just above the compressor. Just started this week and the a/c works fine. I can replace the hose easy enough but need to know the right process to drain and fill with oil. Along with vacuuming and charging the system. I'm thinking I may have to take it to a shop with an a/c machine but wanted to check here first as the information here never ceases to amaze me.
I'll keep searching for the info.

So if I vacuum the system will it pull out all the oil with the freon? I'm sure I could look up the amount of oil and freon to put in the system but wasn't sure about how much oil to put in? Should I get a new drier as a might as well?
