Hope you guys doing all right. 84 fj60 a/c clutch not coming on. So i connected the clutch wire directly to positive and the clutch started. removed a/c amplifier from my girl friends fj62 and installed it in my 84 fj 60 and it started to work. i ordered an a/c amplifier new from toyota, replaced it on my 84 and clutch is no coming on; did not here the relay coming on. checked power at the yellow and yellow/green and found good. checked for ground at black white wire and found good ground. i turned the a/c amplifier around to the circuit board and add ground to one of the welding points of the relay and the clutch starts to work. my problem is not the a/c amplifier is something else. but the only book that i have is from my other fj 62. maybe is something simple like another ground or another relay and i just can't find it. please help; thank you.
Does it still work with the amplifier from the '62? Maybe you're low on gas and the time it took for the amplifier to arrive the last bit of gas leaked out.
its full of freon and it works all the time with the fj62 amplifier. i just can't get the complete amplifier schematic for the 84 with the same wires. with the fj62 amplifier works just fine but i want to make my 84 work as factory. thanks
