Looking into a 1987 FJ60 converted to diesel with a 1988 Toyota 13bt (4cyl turbo diesel) from a Japanese half cut. truck looks clean but lacks a very important element in TX...A/C. apparantly the original chasis had it but was removed during the conversion. is anyone fimiliar with this set up and know how difficult it is so reinstall the A/C...i am not the most mechanically minded, so any information (websites, kits, advice, etc.) would be helpful. An estimated price range for the install would help me out much.

cheers,

cr

The only thing you need is the engine mount for the A/C compresor for the 13bt or 3b engine..modify the lines and keep the original condenser and evaporator..24v?

Might not hurt to post in the Diesel section. The 13BT never came in a 60 chassis (AFAIK), so most of the ones who know them will frequent the diesel and 70s sections. Who knows, maybe one of us Kanucks has what you need kicking around, we sure don't need A/C as bad as you do.
