We know the 24 volt alternators on the sold in Canada 60 Series 2H engines were very low in amps compared to what was available world wide, am I correct to assume that a second 24 volt alternator of identical output in amps can be installed and simply wire them in parallel to give increased amp output? Has anyone done this?

Hang tough, we are working towards a 60amp 24V bolt in, on core exchange. The 2H and 12HT share the same alternator per year/year comparisons. We are a bit away as I want to run one for a while and ensure no issues, but it's in the works if you can wait. Be simpler then installing a second alt.
