I have a 1999 lx470 that feels like the rear brakes are applied when turning left or right in either drive or reverse. the harder the turn the harder the braking feels, the rear end shudders when wheel is fully turned. I checked brakes and calipers are fine and parking brake is not stuck on.

Could this be rear dfferential?

I am out of town and my wife is taking to mechanic but I wanted to see if anyone has suggestions. if it is rear diff what options do I have?

Could it be the center diff lock was accidentally turned on?

Any lights on the dash?

Easy to hit the button with your knee for center diff. No locker in the rear.

99 uses limited slip rear diff, sometimes can lock up. rear diff was replaced in my 99 lx at 69k miles and the customer description (from prior owner) is almost exactly like yours . feels like rear brakes not releasing, more apparent in harder turns

At least it was a simple inexpensive fix.
