Trying to get a hold of him but does not pick up his phone ;-)

Daniel did you see the Cruiser?

Joe

Joe I have not seen it, just found it on my usual craigslist search. I imagine it will sell/has sold quickly at that price and miles. You looking for a 100? I want some of your FJ40 parts to decorate my garage! :D

LOL,the 40's will stay.It just might be nice to get a 100 as a dd.

Just spoke to the guy on the phone but have more questions now then before, seems like it is a flip with not much background info.I am gonna check it out tomorrow though ;-)

They have multiple vehicles, so? Rear spoiler looks to be off newer model or JDM.

No need to get defensive - just saying to me it looks like a dealer or flipper situation. Little info on the truck and history in the ad, the truck has a hideous after market spoiler, brand new leather on the front driver's seat only, driveway full of Lexus/Toyota trucks, Mercedes G wagon in the garage with the license plate covered up, suspiciously low price and the first sentence reads "Selling today and You are looking at a clean and well maintained '99 Toyota Land Cruiser is in great condition inside out!..., and more Key Features like power windows" . I've bought and sold over 30 cars in my days, and it's usually the ads that read like this that have a lot more skeletons in the closet than would appear on the surface. Maybe I'm wrong, but it sounds like we'll know more tomorrow. Curious to know if it's shady or not - shady guys seem to love peddling Land Cruisers from my experience shopping for one for a few years.

its vin is JT3HT05J8X0059923 and running a carfax shows it as a one owner with little in the way of maint listed a few oilchanges. It also has a few Failed emissions inspection around the 180K mark last miles was at 306K and a duplicate title was issued probly just getting it so he had a title in hand but who knows.

But its listed as a 1 owner on carfax so if its a flip he recently got it.

Mcgaskins, I wasn't being offensive, didn't mean it to come off that way. Anyway, if it is a shady guy, I'm sure that is easily figured once seen in person or talked to on the phone.

Scubajon, did the guy send you the vin? I wouldn't care about the one owner, if that carfax is showing that mileage you posted!!!

No worries - it just seemed really off to me, and now it makes perfect sense if it has over 300k miles instead of only 107k. I would expect a nice stock 100 with 107k miles to be worth $12k-$16k, so $8k just appeared to be odd unless there was a story. I am curious where the OP saw the mileage listed and if he was misled by the owner.

Friend in Aledo was told 108K by seller over the phone.

When the ad was posted, it had mileage: 107k in the section of the ad on the right side (where it says fuel, transmission, title, etc.). I guess he removed it, which is weird as well.
