98 Tacoma 4X4

I just traded my 85 FJ60 for a 98 Toy Tacoma 4X4 with 64K miles. Sorry but I don't how to post pictures.

I have owned many FJ40s but this is my first Tacoma so I will have plenty of questions.

It has an automatic - what is the dif gear ratio?

The tires are original 31x15 and are cracking so new ones are a must. It will take some driving and getting use to before deciding on a new size. Hoping for 33x10:5x15 BF-ATs but will settle for 32.

There's a post a ways down with all the gear codes. We can't seem to get sticky's in this section of mud. If yours is a v6 non-trd with 31s from the factory, it may have 4.10s. But check the chart in this section for specifics.

I'm very happy with my BFG AT 32's on my Tacoma. Hasn't affected my performance or mileage.
I have the 5sp with the 4:11 ratio. You're going to love it!

I run 32s on my taco with a 3 inch OME lift and some times they rub in a hard flex so 33s might be a little big, depending on how tall you are.
