My 98 is going to the crusher for the frame recall. Is there anything that is a direct swap. Its a 5sp, 6 cyl. TRD. I have 40, 60, 62, 80 and a mini that I could swap parts with.

My dad's 00 went yesterday

I'll be a smartass since I don't know much compatiability for good parts and say the rims...

rear axles are good, can be sold for other stuff
Steering box for other stuff

Larger brake calipers, master etc..

It has to have all the origional options that came on the truck, like the motor and tranny. Anything I swap has to be something that wouldn't be noticed like an alt., brake calipers etc. I did confirm that it doesn't matter what shape its in, I can bring it in on a trailer if needed. So the last few weeks i have it i will deffinately abuse it, like just how deep it will go w/out a snorkal, where the center of gravity is etc.

I'd really like to figure out how to keep the locker

rear locker won't work in a cruiser center section, but you can get a mini center for dirt cheap..

I guess bringing it to Surf and Turf to "test" would be a little out of your way...... That would be cool. Re-create the infamous how to kill a Toyota video.

They wouldn't let me pull the running gear in my '00 ( probably so they could get more $ for the metal.) They did, however, not have a problem with me removing the doors, bed, and most of the interior pieces. I also returned it on rims from an '86 that abraded the brake hoses, thus complicating abrupt stops...... anyway, I would definitely recommend pulling good body parts because they're worth something to someone.
