98 LX470 Environmental Control Buttons work Intermittent

I've searched for weeks and haven't found anything on this subject so I figured I'd ask. My environmental control buttons work intermittently. The fan controls work fine as well as the air circulation button but all others have to be wiggled, smacked, tapped and cussed at before they turn on or off. Are the switches just going bad? Is it possible to clean the contacts inside the switches? I find myself just leaving the AC on just to avoid the frustration. I appreciate any help.

I'm having the same issue with my ventilate/circulate rocker on that panel. Haven't looked into a fix for it, but interested if somebody has.

Bump. Anyone out there with a fix for this? Am I able to replace the buttons individually? Maybe even clean the contacts in switches?
